Wedding Day Dreams
I am delighted to share Suzanne and Kevin's Wedding Day held at Ruthin Castle, Castle Rhuthun, is a medieval castle fortification, near the town of Ruthin in the Vale of Clwyd. This was the first time I'd had a chance to take Ruthin Castle wedding photographs and wow, what a venue it truly is.
The castle itself is picturesque (you can feel the history as you walk around it) for it is beautifully full of fantastic character, original features, and spectacular garden grounds. Making it a stunning wedding venue.

The day started at the couple's family home, where I was incredibly welcomed by everyone, including their cute family dog! Yes, he loved the limelight! Everything was so calm and running on time so we took some time to set up a backdrop and create some portrait images of the beautiful bridal party. Scott Taylor, who was second shooting alongside me, met the groom and groomsmen at the venue itself. The castle grounds and inside character windows made the best-styled settings to capture these images.
A Wedding Ceremony Full of Love at Ruthin Castle
Arriving at the venue the rain made an appearance but this did not dampen the mood. Suzanne arrived in style, in a family car which Kevin had grown up caring for. The wedding ceremony from start to finish was perfect, a family member sang beautifully as Suzanne was led down the aisle by her oldest son, a family friend read out a personal piece and the groom's granddad performed the most beautiful rose ceremony. If you're wondering what a rose ceremony is, I would highly recommend looking it up!
Timeless.
Leaving the ceremony room the guests left down this quirky corridor to be met with drinks and canapés. And as the rain hit the windows we found a cute little spot to capture the family images and of course, the beautiful Bride and Groom together, before it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches. The wedding speeches were fantastic, all the tables filled with smiles and even some tears, and the room was the perfect backdrop.
After all the celebrations we decided to brace the rain and wind and capture some bride and groom images at the beautiful entrance of the castle. Even though the wind was battling against our light stand the images were worth every effort by all, especially the bride and groom who braved the cold November night. However, they did get warmed up with their first dance moves!
Thank you so much to the beautiful couple for having me and Scott along to tell their story at Ruthin Castle. The whole day went perfectly. which is a testament to all the hard work which Suzanne and Kevin had put into their day, and having such a perfect day was nothing less than what they deserved.
